DISPLAY
TEAM FOR THE KENNEL CLUB's GOOD CITIZEN
DOG SCHEME AWARD AND DANCING WITH DOGS. In
2007 Acorn Dog Training took part in the Good Citizen Dog Scheme display at Crufts
for the bronze level award.
Since then, the team have gone on display at fetes, carnivals, country fairs
and old folks homes throughout the country. The
team will be going on tour again this year during the summer months. If you would
like them to come and visit your event, old people's or childrens home, please
contact the team captain Claire-Louise, on 01908 312478 who will be delighted
to hear from you. The team, consisting mainly of children and their dogs, have
put exercises from all 3 levels of the Kennel Club's Good Citizen Dog Scheme to
music! Agility
displays can also be arranged.
Below are pictures of the team at Crufts 2007: Handlers and dogs are: Joanne and
Mylo (border collie). James and Ollie (border terrier) Rhia-Louise and Mildred
(miniture poodle) and Max and Glen (rough collie). Team Captain is Claire-Louise.
Robyn (seen wearing white tee shirt) and Sacha are the reserves. Please
notice that apart from Max with Glen, our handlers were all junior handlers. This
is the first time there has been a display team consisting of mostly junior handlers
at Crufts.
