THE
KENNEL CLUB GOOD CITIZEN DOG AWARD SCHEME Acorn
Dog Training holds Kennel Club Listed Status. We run regular courses to educate
owners about the importance of having a well trained dog which is completely well
socialised and socially acceptable to other members of society. For full information
about the Good Citizen Dog Scheme click on the Kennel Club logo:
WE
WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE EVERYONE WHO PASSED THE GOOD CITIZENS
TEST in 2004, details of those who passed in previous years can be viewed
here for 2002 ,for 2003, for 2004
for 2005 for 2006
for 2007 These
passes are genuine achievements. All dogs have to show that they are able complete
the exercises to a satisfactory standard. At Acorn Dog Training, we do NOT allow
dogs to pass tests at any level if they are unable to complete the required tasks
in a satisfactory manner. Neither do we suggest that dogs whom we feel require
further training join in on test days. Congratulations

special WELL DONE goes to Gill Reeman and Tiggy. Tiggy was a very nervous dog
right from puppy group. She would run and hide from other dogs and people until
she was well over a year old. Many would have given up, but Gill didn't. Not only
has Tiggy passed all three levels of the Good Citizen Test, she is now competing
in agility. Tiggy may not be the fastest dog on the course, but she is very close
to getting her first clear round in competition - surrounded by hundreds of other
dogs and people. Well done Gill and Tiggy from Fran and the gang. Many
thanks to our regular judge, Steve Beechey of The Thames Valley Police Dog Section,
and Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and to all those who gave generously
to our collection for DogLost - helping
owners to be re-united with missing and stolen dogs. Email
from DogLost received 6th March: Thank
you so very very much for your help and your support!!! We have had enough
money donated this week to cover our mailing for people who are on low incomes
and for the elderley. Thank you so so much we are delighted. Please thank
everyone! Kindest Regards Rachel Hughes Doglost Admin
