THE KENNEL CLUB's GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME AWARD: where we run regular courses to educate owners about the importance of having a well trained dog which is completely well socialised and socially acceptable to other members of society. We also offer Good Citizen Dog Scheme training as a continuation course for owners of dogs who just wish to improve their overall obedience after having attended a puppy course, either with us, or elsewhere. If you have previously attended one of our courses, or a foundation course with Dogs in Training or Shippshape School for Dogs, then the cost of a 6 week course is £50, or £60 to those who have trained elsewhere.

ACORN DOG TRAINING HOLDS THE KENNEL CLUB'S LISTED STATUS

If you would like to join our Good Citizen Dog Scheme Award classes, the cost of a 6 week beginners course is £60. The test at the end of each course is not compulsory, so if you are happy with what you have achieved, then no test is necessary, however, the option is there if you would like to receive the award.

WE WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE EVERYONE WHO HAVE TAKEN AND PASSED THE GOOD CITIZENS TEST. The results from previous years can be viewed for 2002 for 2003 for 2004 for 2005 for 2007

These passes are genuine achievements. All dogs have to show that they are able complete the exercises to a satisfactory standard. At Acorn Dog Training, we do NOT allow dogs to pass tests if they are unable to complete the required tasks in the required manner.
